A mini focus on radiation risk covers two recent trials exploring ways to reduce operator exposure; two articles come out of the GLOBAL LEADERS trial and explore the efficacity of ticagrelor monotherapy: GLASSY is a substudy following the efficacity of ticagrelor monotherapy after one-month DAPT in patients with or without ACS, the other is a post hoc analysis of ticagrelor monotherapy in patients receiving long stents; the COMPARE-ABSORB trial examines the use of coronary scaffolds in patients at high risk for restenosis comparing them with drug-eluting stents; the POLBOS LM trial protocol looks at a dedicated bifurcation stent and, in valvular disease and heart failure, an article reviews and comments on the Leipzig experience with the BASILICA technique.
