In the past issues of EuroIntervention we have spoken about the history of the EuroPCR Course and the subsequent creation of EuroIntervention itself. The Course itself grew out of the rapid development of interventional medicine in the mid-eighties to achieve its present size and stature, while the increasing need for an appropriate outlet for the research and work we were involved in naturally led us to the creation of this journal two years ago.
