As 2025 comes to an end and with a new year about to begin, it is time for our annual retrospective on the most downloaded and cited articles from EuroIntervention.
The last year was a momentous one for the journal, and now more than ever, we extend our warmest thanks and best holiday wishes to our readers, authors, reviewers, and editors.
EuroIntervention celebrated an important milestone in 2025: its 20th anniversary. It was also a year of great achievement, reaching an Impact Factor of 9.5 and record submission numbers that have made article selection increasingly competitive. The journal’s quality has continued to rise steadily and significantly, a position we hope to maintain in 2026 along with our continued dedication to academic excellence and improving daily interventional practice.
Before we discover what the next year has in store, let us take a moment to look back on the articles that marked 2025 – from the standardisation of definitions and endpoints to the management of complex patient subsets and more.
