Ultrasound renal denervation to treat hypertension

RADIANCE-HTN SOLO
Objective
to demonstrate that endovascular ultrasound renal denervation reduce ambulatory blood pressure in patients with mild to moderate hypertension while off anti-hypertensive medication
Study
multicentre, single-blind sham controlled randomised study
Population
patients with combined systolic-diastolic hypertension with blood pressure ≥135/85 mmHg and <170/105 mmHg after 4 week discontinuation of ant-hypertensive medication
Endpoints
change in daytime ambulatory systolic blood pressure at 2 months in the intention-to-treat population
Conclusion
