Two-stent and provisional stenting technique for complex bifurcation lesions

Objective
to examine the clinical outcomes of routine 2-stent implantation with provisional stenting for treatment of complex bifurcation lesions (according to DEFiNITiON criteria)
Study
multicentre randomised trial
Population
patients with complex bifurcation lesions meeting DEFINITION criteria
Endpoints
target lesion failure at 1 year: cardiac death, target vessel MI or clinically driven target lesions revascularisation
Conclusion
the two stent-approach was associated with a significant improvement in clinical outcomes compared to provisional approach for the treatment of complex bifurcation lesions
