to report the clinical outcomes of transcatheter mitral valve repair (TMVR) compared to surgery for the treatment of secondary mitral valve regurgitation
Study
multicentre (Germany) noninferiority, randomised trial
Population
patients with heart failure and secondary mitral valve regurgitation
Endpoints
composite of death, hospitalisation for heart failure, mitral valve reintervention, implantation of assist device or stroke within 1 year after the procedure
Conclusion
among patients with heart failure and secondary mitral valve regurgitation, transcatheter mitral valve repair was non-inferior to surgery
