Quantitative flow ratio versus FFR for guidance PCI

FAVOR III EUROPE
Objective
to investigate whether a strategy using quantitative flow ratio (QFR) is non-inferior compared to FFR to guide PCI for treatment of patients with intermediate coronary stenosis
Study
multicentre, open label randomised non-inferiority trial (margin 3.4%)
Population
patients with chronic or stabilised acute coronary syndromes
Endpoints
composite death, MI and unplanned revascularisation at 12 months
Conclusion
a QFR-guided strategy did not meet non-inferiority to a FFR-guided strategy to support revascularisation decisions
