10. Lesion haemodynamic assessment and PCI

Post-stenting fractional flow reserve versus angiography

TARGET-FFR
Objective
to assess the efficacy of a post-PCI FFR strategy versus a standard angiographic strategy
Study
prospective, single centre randomised trial
Population
patients with stable and acute coronary syndromes. In patients randomised to post-PCI FFR additional optimisation measurements were done if post-PCI FFR <0.90. Angiographically guided PCI patients received a blinded coronary physiology assessment
Endpoints
proportion of patients with a final post-PCI FFR ≥0.90
Conclusion
a post-PCI FFR guided optimisation strategy did not significantly increase the proportion of patients with a final FFR >0.90
