PCI in patients undergoing TAVI

NOTION-3
Objective
to assess the efficiency of TAVI and PCI compared to TAVI alone for treatment of severe aortic stenosis and a significant coronary artery stenosis
Study
international multicentre randomised trial
Population
patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis and least one coronary artery stenosis
Endpoints
MACE as any death, MI or urgent revascularisation at a median follow-up of 2 years
Conclusion
among patients with CAD and severe aortic stenosis undergoing TAVI, TAVI and PCI resulted in a lower risk of MACE compared to conservative treatment at 2-year follow-up.
