One-year outcomes after PCI strategies in cardiogenic shock

CULPRIT SHOCK: 1 year
Objective
to compare outcomes of patients in cardiogenic shock treated with culprit only PCI versus multivessel PCI
Study
multicentre, assessor-blind, randomised controlled trial
Population
patients with cardiogenic shock and multivessel coronary disease
Endpoints
prespecified end points at 1 year included death from any cause, recurrent MI
Conclusion
mortality and recurrent myocardial infarction at 1 year was comparable in both treatments groups. There was no clear evidence of delayed benefit with multivessel PCI
