9. Imaging-guided PCI

OCT-guided vs angiography-guided PCI

OCCUPI
Objective
to compare the clinical outcomes of OCT-guided versus angiography-guided PCI for complex lesions.
Study
investigator-initiated, multicentre, open-label randomised trial.
Population
patients with complex coronary artery lesions undergoing DES
Endpoints
MACE as composite of cardiac death, MI, stent thrombosis or ischemia-driven target vessel revascularization at 1 year.
Conclusion
among patients undergoing DES implantation of complex lesions, OCT-guided PCI was associated with lower incidence of MACE at 1 year compared to angiography-guided PCI.
