Drug-eluting stent in-stent restenosis

ISAR DESIRE 3: 10 years
Objective
to report the 10-year outcomes of treatment of drug-eluting stent in-stent restenosis (DES-ISR) comparing treatment with plain balloon (PB), paclitaxelcoated balloon (PCB), and paclitaxel-eluting stent (PES)
Study
open-label, multicentre, randomised trial
Population
angiographically restenosis ≥ 50% (DES-ISR) in a native coronary artery
Endpoints
composite of cardiac death, target-vessel MI, target-lesion thrombosis or target lesion revascularisation at 10 years
Conclusion
PCB and PES treatment of DES-ISR is more effective than PB over a 10-year follow-up period. PCB and PES effectivity does not differ much
