Objective
to compare the 1-year clinical outcome of chronic limb-threatening ischaemia (CLTI) and infrapopliteal artery disease using treatment with everolimus-eluting resorbable scaffold or angioplasty
Study
multicentre randomized controlled study (2:1)
Population
patients with CLTI
Endpoints
efficacy: freedom from amputation above the ankle, occlusion target vessel, revascularisation or binary restenosis of lesion Safety: freedom from major adverse limb events at 6 month and perioperative death
Conclusion
treatment of chronic limb-threatening ischaemia due to infrapopliteal artery disease as superior by using everolimus-eluting resorbable scaffold as compared to angioplasty
