to assess the clinical outcomes of paclitaxel-coated ballon (DCB) angioplasty with rescue stenting compared to drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation

open-label investigator initiated randomised non-inferiority trial (margin 2.68%)
Population
patients with de novo, non-complex coronary artery lesions
Endpoints
composite of cardiac death, MI and target-lesion revascularisation at 24 months
Conclusion
DCB angioplasty with rescue stenting for the treatment of non-complex coronary lesions did not meet non-inferiority compared to DES implantation during 2-year follow-up period
