Clopidogrel monotherapy vs 12 months DAPT

STOP-DAPT 2-ACS
Objective
to demonstrate that clopidogrel monotherapy (after 1-2 months of DAPT) is non-inferior to 12 months DAPT with aspirin and clopidogrel
Study
multicentre, open-label, randomised, non-inferiority study (margin of 50% on hazard ratio scale)
Population
patients with ACS who underwent successful PCI
Endpoints
composite of cardiovascular (death, MI any stroke, definite thrombosis) on bleeding (TIMI major or minor) events at 12 months
Conclusion
1 to 2 months DAPT (aspirin and clopidogrel) followed by clopidogrel monotherapy did not meet non-inferiority compared to 12 months aspirin and clopidogrel therapy at 1 year
